1974年（第25回）から始まった国際雪像コンクールは、世界各地の国・地域・都市によるチームが参加して雪像制作を競いあうコンクールです。
国際色豊かな個性あふれる雪像は雪まつり期間中に制作され、大通会場内で唯一、雪像の制作風景を間近で見ることができる大変人気のある行事です。

少年が熱気球に乗って空高く舞い上がり、美しい世界を旅する夢を表現しました。この旅は少年に自由と希望を与え、世界の美しさを感じさせてくれることでしょう。夢は私たちを常に新しい場所へ導いてくれる魔法のようなものです。ぜひ自分の夢を大切にしてほしいです。

Jaran Kepang dance is dance art that is played by riding a fake horse made of woven bamboo or kepang. The prominent and extreme action in Jarang kepang dance is the trance action that magical power attractions such as eating glass, familiar body and others.
伝統舞踊クダ・ランピング（ジャラン・ケパン）は、竹で編んだ馬に乗って踊るダンスアートです。クダ・ランピングの際立った特徴は、ガラスのようなものを食べたり、他人を食べるなどの魔力に取り憑かれたような動きです。
Happiness is subtle balance. It is as fragile as a spinning top in motion, it requires perfect distribution of weight to maintain its graceful spin. A single misstep, and the harmony wavers, threatening to topple. Yet, with the right adjustment, it can continue its elegant, fragile dance what is called the happiness in life. Happiness is not just a state - it is an art, the art of balance. In this project we try to translate the meaning of 幸 sign into universal visual language. It stands as first sculptural vocabulary of it’s kind!
幸せとは微妙なバランスです。回転するコマのように壊れやすく、その優雅な回転を維持するためには完璧な重さの配分が重要です。一歩間違えただけでバランスが崩れ、倒れそうになります。それでも適度な調整で、優雅な姿を維持することができます。不安定なダンスはいわゆる人生の幸せです。幸せとは単なる状態ではなく、アートであり、バランスの芸術です。この作品では最初の彫刻語彙として存在する「幸」の意味を普遍的な視覚言語として表現しています。
It’s the nature of the world that a man and a woman are destined to mate and build their livelihoods, support their offspring and cultivate their ancestries. Mongolians have been educating their children about this precious relationship in human life since ancient times. Among them, the bear is represented as a symbol of strength, the wolf is the symbol of endurance, the swan is the symbol of true love. We made this work based on the fairy tale "The swan became a symbol of love", and it is a depiction of a couple of young people sitting facing each other and trying to create their lives. Life is represented by trees. The work depicts a pair of young couples cherishing the tree of life in their hands, covering it with their bodies and protecting it, and double guarding it with idols depicted in their armor. May all the families of the world live peacefully and the tree of life grows and blossoms.
男女が出逢い、人生を共にし、子を産み、祖先を養う運命にあるのは世の中の始まりです。モンゴルでは古くから、人生において最も貴重で重要なこの関係について子供たちに教育し言い伝えてきました。その中で、クマは強さ、オオカミは忍耐、白鳥は真実の愛の象徴としてそれぞれ表現されます。「白鳥は愛の象徴になった」という童話をもとに制作したこの作品は、二人の若者が向かい合って座り、自分たちの人生を作り上げていこうとする姿を描いています。生命は木によって表現されます。この作品は生命の木を大切に手に持ち、体で覆って守り、鎧に描かれた偶像で二重に守る若い夫婦の姿を描いています。世界中のすべての家族が平和に暮らし、生命の木が成⾧し花を咲かせますように。

The transience of snow highlights the fragility of existence, contrasting with the enduring aspiration to create a better world.
人間の脳は、創造的なエネルギーと無限の思考の力を象徴しています。その形の中にある碑文は、私たちの文明のダイナミックな進化と文化的な豊かさを反映しています。雪のはかなさは存在のもろさを際立たせ、より良い世界を創造しようとする永続的な願望と対照をなしています。
During the yearly salmon miqration up columbia river, Eagles and other animals, like bears, hunt for salmon. This river is in the portland area and part of Oregon history.
毎年、サケがコロンビア川を遡上する時に、ワシやクマなどの動物がサケを狩ります。この川はポートランドにあり、オレゴン州の歴史の一部です。
Listen to the sound of the Earth. Listen to the voice of the people. Listen to the cries of the war. The three speaker-like structures symbolise one’s attitude towards what one sees and hears. Some will listen with compassion. Some only hear what they wish to hear. And some simply tune out completely...
大地の声を聴いてください。人々の声を聴いてください。戦争の叫びを聴いてください。この3つのスピーカーのような構造物は、見て聞くものに対する態度を象徴しています。ある人は思いやりを持って耳を傾けるでしょう。ある人は聞きたいものだけを聞くでしょう。そして、ある人はただ耳を閉ざしてしまうでしょう…。
Songkran, Thailand's traditional New Year festival, involves water rituals symbolising unity and gratitude. Known as "the World Water Festival" and "Family Day," it promotes family love and happiness. The sculpture reflects a joyful and fun-filled vibe in the festival.
ソンクラーンはタイの伝統的な新年祭であり、団結と感謝を象徴する水の儀式が行われます。「世界の水かけ祭り」や「ファミリーデー」として知られ、家族の愛と幸せを祈ります。この作品は、祭りでの楽しく喜びに満ちた雰囲気を表しています。
