Opening Dates and Hours

A variety of events take place at Tsudome site between Feb. 5 and Feb. 11.
Tsudome site is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. everyday during the snow festival.

Open-air Venue
Visitors can have a snow-and-ice experience through participating in a variety of events at the open-air venue.


Indoor Venue (inside the dome)
Inside this all-weather dome, a variety of other events with special features of Hokkaido take place. Visitors can also take a break or have refreshments inside the dome.
Concept of Tsudome Site
Tsudome site’s concept is to be a place where:
  • visitors can enjoy authentic Hokkaido food
  • visitors can have positive exchanges
  • visitors can experience special features of Hokkaido
  • person of any age can have fun

HANKOOK TIRE Tube Slider Tube slide

You use a rubber tube to slide on Tube Slider. This snow slide is approximately 8 meters high and 80 meters long. There are five different courses to try.

Ice Slide Ice Slide

This ice slide for small children is approximately 5 meters high and 12 meters long.
There are four different courses to try.

Waku Waku Slider Waku Waku Slider

You slide in a big arc on this snow slide. It is approximately 6 meters high and 30 meters long. There are four different courses to try.

Snowrafting

SnowraftingThe snow raft is a small rubber raft pulled along by a snowmobile.

Tappy Land

Tappy LandThe Higashi Ward Welcome Council invites you to the Tappy Land. Those with children are especially welcome.

Bamboo Skiing

Bamboo SkiingMembers of the Higashi Ward Welcome Council (Satsunae-Moere Development Committee) invite you to experience ‘bamboo ski making’ and ‘bamboo skiing’.

Snow Object Contest

Snow Object ContestThe snow object contest will be taking place here at the Tsudome site. Art club students from the High School League of Hokkaido for Culture, Ishikari Branch, will be at work on snow objects for the contest on February 5, 2010, between 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Don’t miss it!

Hall in OneNPO Sapporo Park Golf Association invites you to play ‘Park Golf’ on the snow.

Kushiro Sapporo Hyosetsu Kokutai (The 65th National Winter Sports Festival): Snowball Fight Tournament

A snowball fight tournament will be demonstrated as an official sports event of the 65th National Winter Sports Festival. (Feb. 11 only)

Citizen's Snow Sculptures

The citizens of Sapporo present four snow sculptures.

(The size of each snow sculpture is 2 meters wide, 2 meters deep and 2 meters high.)

Tsudome Hot CafeLocal wines and Amazake (a sweet drink made from fermented rice) are served at Tsudome Hot Cafe. Various local farm products are also sold here.

You are warmly welcomed to the Attaka Fureai Stage. Enjoy the entertaining shows with special features of Hokkaido, performed by various groups of Sapporo citizens.
